Major Employment Drive Launched by Bihar State Government

In a significant move to combat unemployment, the Bihar state government has initiated a comprehensive employment drive in 2025, aiming to provide substantial job opportunities to its youth. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, the government has set an ambitious target of offering 12 lakh government jobs and creating 34 lakh employment opportunities across various sectors by the end of the year.This initiative is part of the 'Saat Nischay Part-2' scheme, which focuses on youth empowerment and skill development. As of now, over 5.16 lakh government jobs have been filled, with the recruitment process for an additional 1.99 lakh positions completed. The government plans to distribute appointment letters for these positions within the next three months.The employment drive encompasses various departments, including education, health, and infrastructure. Notably, the Bihar State Higher Education Council (BSHEC) has announced recruitment for positions such as accountants and assistants, with salaries reaching up to ₹80,000. These appointments are based on merit, eliminating the need for examinations, thereby streamlining the hiring process.
